As
a generalisation, property professionals find technology difficult.
This despite the fact that technology has always had a major impact upon the
location and use of those bricks and mortar products that they
espouse so readily.
This
uneasy relationship is compounded by the percieved incursion of "IT"
into
core business processes where rampant Luddism prevails amongst
many surveying practices.
My consultancy activity in this area is growing all the time:

Every
day I meet people who think that technology is "difficult" and best
avoided.
Sometimes I meet people who think that technology is a tool to add value.
They are increasing in number.
