Teaching the real estate profession about technology is a lifetimes work in itself. The feeling that as younger, more computer-literate surveyors come into the profession this problem will be solved merely underscores the fact that even the problem itself is not fully understood.

As an industry which relies heavily upon information as its lifeblood, it is
inexplicable that so little about information is taught in the educative process.

In the past I have been involved in the academic process peripherally
but my main training effort has been concentrated at a corporate level.

My current initiatives in this area will make on-line learning tools and content
available to property professionals putting technology in a real estate context.
